Throughout the years , I've noticed several "cute" TV and Film actors and such that always seemed to make me smile. You know the type, you look at them and you just want to hug them. These people have a gift. They can make you smile just by looking at them or maybe saying a few words. Here are a few just off the top of my head. I'll add more later. Also, I'm open to requests or suggestions so please let me know if you have any. Email me at haplesshermit@yahoo.com

Phil Leeds. Perhaps the Godfather of all Cute Bastards. If you've ever watched 70's and 80's TV, you've seen Phil Leeds and thought isn't he adorable!.

Irwin Keyes Best known as Hugo on the Jeffersons. You really have to see him in action to fully appreciate his cuteness. A few years ago he made a surprise appearance in the Cohen Bros. film Intolerable Cruelty.

Vincent Schiavelli If you were a casting director in the 70s and 80s and needed a guy to play a slightly off character with slightly off hair, you called on him. They did on One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and later as a science teacher in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Scatman Crothers Crazy white people were always causing Scatman Crothers stress. Jack Nicholson caused him grief first in Cuckoos Nest then again in The Shinning.

Brian Posehn Relatively new on the cute bastard scene but it seems he has what it takes for the long haul. He's like a 270 pound Muppet come to life.

Everybody loves Abe Vigoda. He might be the most graceful of cute bastards. He has this slow and deliberate pace that is just so endearing. Even though we wish him only happiness, he can look expecially cute when sad. Sorta like a tired pelican. Catch him on Barney Miller reruns, if you can.

How can you not love Andre the Giant? How many people can still look cute while they are strangling someone in the ring? Adorable and charismatic. We truly miss the late, great Andre.
